Microsoft Is Bringing Its PC Health Check App To A Windows 10 PC Near You
If you have a PC running the Windows 10 OS, then Microsoft is bringing its controversial PC Health Check app to your device via a new software update. The app has been making rounds after it offered a way to check Windows 11 eligibility and disappointing many users who couldn’t meet the company’s strict system requirements.
Anyway, Redmond said on a new support page that PC Health Check will be delivered to existing Windows 10 PCs running version 2004 (or later) via the update KB50005463. As of now, you need to be an Insider in order to get your hands on the app. But that would change with the new Windows Update.
Speaking of utility, the PC Health Check app is meant to do a lot more than just checking for Windows 11 compatibility. It lets you set up OneDrive’s backup and sync, check battery and storage capacity, manage startup time, and throws tips to improve overall performance.
However, the app isn’t of much use now as the Windows Update page already fulfills its primary purpose and shows whether your PC can run Windows 11 or not.
Of course, you can remove it
If you find out that your machine can’t run Microsoft’s latest OS, or you don’t find it useful, you can easily remove the PC Health Check app from your machine just like any other Windows app. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & Features > App list (Windows PC Health Check) > Uninstall. That’s it.
