MIUI 12 global launch India

A few days ago, Xiaomi held the MIUI 12 Global launch event where it showcased the awesome features of MIUI 12 and also informed us about the list of supported devices.

At the launch event, Xiaomi said it will begin to roll out the latest MIUI update by the end of June. And it appears that the Chinese tech giant plans to keep its promises.

In an official tweet by MIUI India, Xiaomi hinted at MIUI 12 roll-out to the second batch in Indian users starting June 18th.

The tweet shows a Labyrinth where one has to trace the path that leads to a calendar icon, showcasing the date 18th. The path, on the other end, leads to number 2, implying a second batch of devices.

Previously, Xiaomi rolled out MIUI 12 stable beta updates to the first batch (Mi 9, Redmi K20/Mi 9T), so it makes sense that now it’s the time for Xiaomi budget devices to enjoy the MIUI 12 update.

That being said, we advise you to take this information with a pinch of salt since the tweet comes with an inconsistency. The calendar icon reads “Wednesday 18th.” But it’s actually a Thursday on June 18th.

Nevertheless, if the update does arrive on the mentioned date, bear in mind that it will be an MIUI 12 stable beta. Therefore, only the people who signed up for the MIUI 12 Pilot program will be able to enjoy the update.
