At the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, the Korean tech giant has launched the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic. While both watches have the same internals, the main difference is in the build materials. The Galaxy Watch4 has a sports band connected to armor aluminum chassis. It also features touch bezels that you can use to browse through the watch.

Coming to the Classic, this one comes with a Ridge sports band, connected to a stainless steel frame. The Classic retains the rotating bezel from the previous generation of Samsung watches. Both watches feature Super AMOLED displays with Corning Gorilla Glass with DX+.

Starting with the displays, the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 will come in 40mm and 44mm sizes. The Galaxy Watch4 Classic will have 42mm and 46mm dial sizes. All the variants will feature an Always-On Super AMOLED display.

The internals for the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic are the same. The watches run Wear OS powered by Samsung in partnership with Google. Both models come with 1.5GB RAM paired with 16GB internal storage. The processing is handled by an Exynos W920 dual-core chip. It is built on a 5nm architecture and clocked at 1.18GHz.

In terms of connectivity, both watches get LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, NFC, and GPS. Both watches also get Samsung’s new BioActive Sensor, which measures your heart rate, and performs Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis.

Samsung has added a ton of new features to go with the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Classic. You get body composition, advanced sleep monitoring, and group challenges. The company also claims that the body composition taken by the Watch4’s BioActive sensor is at par with the gold standard in bioelectrical impedance analysis.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 will start at $249 and the Classic will start at $349. You can order either of the watches starting August 27. The Galaxy Watch 4 will come in Black, Pink Gold, and silver colors for the 40 mm dial, and black, green, and silver options for the 44mm model. The Classic will be available in Black and Silver colors for both dial sizes.
