OPPO K1 Launched With In-Display Fingerprint Scanner In India
After a few rumors and speculations, OPPO has finally launched the OPPO K1 in its new K series at an event in India.
The OPPO K1, falling in the budget segment, has its USP in the form of an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Another highlight is the 6.4-inch AMOLED water drop display with a screen resolution rated at 1080 x 2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:5:9.
The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. However, there isn’t any support for expandable storage via a memory card.
On the camera front, the OPPO K1 houses a dual-camera setup, configured at 16MP and 2MP. The one at the front stands at 25MP for selfies and video calling. All the camera sensors come with support for AI-based camera capabilities.
The smartphone gets its fuel from a 3,600mAh battery and runs the company’s ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo which is soon expected to get upgraded to Android 9.0 Pie.
The 4G VoLTE-enabled smartphone has support for the Face Unlock feature. Additionally, the device comes in Piano Black and Astral Blue color variants.
The OPPO K1 comes with a price tag of INR 16,990 and will be up for grabs, starting February 12 exclusively via Flipkart.
