After months of waiting, the MIUI 12 update has finally arrived for Poco X2 users in India.

Xiaomi held MIUI 12 Global launch back in May. Since then, it has issued MIUI 12 updates to several devices, including the Redmi K20/K20 Pro, Mi 9, Mi 10, and more. Meanwhile, a few Xiaomi devices such as the Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 8 Pro, and Poco F2 Pro are still testing the MIUI 12 Stable beta version.
The new Poco X2 MIUI 12 update will finally calm down fans who were angered at Xiaomi for not delivering MIUI 12 update on Poco devices. We have also observed that Xiaomi hasn’t been focusing on Poco, which is in contrast to their marketing claims.
In fact, Poco F1 and Poco M2 Pro haven’t received the update up till now. Interestingly, Poco F1 has been part of the MIUI 12 Pilot program, which started back in June. Other devices in the beta program have received MIUI 12 beta updates, whereas Poco F1 is waiting for its first beta update.
Xiaomi says that Poco F1 may bring a beta update next week. However, it may get postponed again due to bugs and stability issues in internal testing.
As for the Poco X2 MIUI 12 update for India, we weren’t able to manually upgrade our Poco device. This could mean that its MIUI 12 Stable Beta update and Xiaomi is only rolling it out to random Poco X2 users.
That being said, we expect Poco users to begin receiving an OTA update within a few days. A few days ago, an official roll-out schedule revealed that at least 23 Xiaomi devices would begin receiving the MIUI 12 update this month.
