OnePlus Nord 2 (1)

Nord was the second mid-range device from OnePlus after OnePlus X; the company managed to sell a lot of units, thanks to the immense hype that it created on social media. The successor to Nord, the OnePlus Nord 2, has been in talks since last month, and it looks like we finally have a sketch of what the phone will look like from the back, thanks to Max Jambor, a popular leaker on Twitter.

What Does The OnePlus Nord 2 Look Like?

Max recently tweeted an image of the back of the OnePlus Nord 2’s back. It’s not a render but a basic clean sketch that shows the presence of three buttons.

The third one could be the Alert Slider if the two buttons are the volume rockers and the power button. OnePlus didn’t include the alert slider in their new Nord CE, which upset many fans.

OnePlus Nord 2 Specifications

The specifications aren’t confirmed, but rumors are the phone will be powered by Mediatek Dimensity 1200 SoC which is the chipmaker’s most powerful chipset to date. The performance rating of Dimensity 1200 stands somewhere between Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 and 865.

The rumored specs also suggest that the phone will feature a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display capped at a 90Hz refresh rate, 8/12GB and 128/256GB storage variants, and a triple camera setup at the back.

The primary camera is rumored to be a Sony IMX 766 50MP shooter with OIS found on the OnePlus 9 Pro alongside 8MP wide-angle and 2MP depth sensors. The front camera will be a 32MP snapper inside a punch-hole cutout on display. There are also rumors about design changes.

The battery will be bigger this time at 4,500mAh, and the phone will also support Warp 30T Plus fast charging. It is worth noting that all the specs mentioned above are not confirmed and hence should be taken with a grain of salt.

OnePlus Nord 2 Launch Date And Pricing

It looks like OnePlus is clearly following Samsung’s footsteps. Just like how the price-to-feature ratio of the base Samsung S series models is lower than the Ultra model, OnePlus has also created a market gap to launch the Nord 2 at around Rs 30000 while the Nord CE stays at Rs 25000 segment so that people don’t question its high price.

The phone will launch in July. More leaks should start popping up in the coming week or two. What do you think of Nord 2? Is OnePlus headed the right way? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
