League Of Legends Wild Rift Release Date, Beta & More

Riot Games’ League of Legends is one of the best esports games of all time. The game is available only for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Macintosh operating systems.

However, in 2019, Riot surprised the gaming community by announcing League of Legends: Wild Rift, the mobile port of the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game. Since then, mobile players are eager to know the League of Legends Wild Rift release date.

Before LOL: Wild Rift’s global release, Riot Games plans to expand League of Legends Wild Rift Open Beta to more regions. That’s why it’s confusing for fans to figure out when they’ll get to play League of Legends: Wild Rift.

Well, you are in luck because, in this post, we’ve mentioned everything you need to know about one of the most awaited upcoming mobile games.

League Of Legends Wild Rift Release Date

Riot didn’t release an official release date for League Of Legends: Wild Rift. However, the developers already initiated open beta for the game in selected countries. So, it’s safe to assume that League of Legends: Wild Rift will release globally by the end of 2021.

Originally, when Riot announced League of Legends Mobile in October 2019, the studio wanted to release it in 2020. Unfortunately, developers had to delay the release because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

League Of Legends Wild Rift Beta

Riot Games launched the closed beta for League of Legends: Wild Rift last year in September. The closed beta was available in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.

A month later, in October 2020, League of Legends Wild Rift Open Beta was available in Japan, South Korea, and the countries mentioned above.

Finally, in December 2020, LOL: Wild Rift open beta extended to regions like Europe, Vietnam, Oceania, North Africa, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey, and the Middle East.

Moreover, Riot Games confirmed that the League of Legends Mobile open beta would release for North and South America on March 29, 2021. So, League of Legends fans in the United States would finally get to try Wild Rift.

Wild Rift Gameplay & Champions

Wild Rift will be quite similar to League of Legends in terms of gameplay. Players will control different champions to defeat enemy forces and their champions to take control over their territory.

The game features multiple champion abilities that players can access through buttons on the screen. Moreover, the semi-lock camera function will allow players to pan the camera view. That will allow players to explore areas beyond their line-of-sight.

Of course, Wild Rift will go through some major changes in terms of gameplay and controls before its global release.

The Wild Rift champions list includes Ahri, Akali, Miss Fortune, Ashe, Corki, Darius, Ramus, Draven, Garen, Jax, Janna, Jarvan, Kai’Sa, K/Da, Katarina, Seraphine, Kennen, Lee Sin, Lulu, Tristiana, Amumu, Dr. Mundo, Singed, Sona, Teemo, Varus, Wukong, and more.
