10 Best Weapons For Alhaitham In Genshin Impact: F2P-Friendly Guide
Alhaitham was one of the first Dendro characters to be introduced to Genshin Impact alongside Nahida and Dendro Traveler. Since his introduction and significant role in the Archon quests, players have longed for his official release. If you’ve been living under a rock since version 3.3 featuring Raiden Shogun and Kamisato Ayato, we’re pleased to break it to you that Alhaitham will be making his debut in Genshin Impact in version 3.4. If you’re looking forward to wishing for him as a free-to-play player or a spender, here are some of the best weapons for Alhaitham.
We’ll begin this guide starting with Alhaitham’s signature weapon, which will, of course, be the best option for him when he’s out, along with the signature weapons of other characters that work pretty well for him. In the end, we’ll look at all the 5-star and 4-start F2P weapon options, which will help you get the most out of him as a F2P player.
What makes a weapon good in Genshin Impact?
While base attack is a common stat across all weapons, the things that matter the most and make a weapon great are its passive and sub-stats. Character signature weapons are some of the best five-star weapons you can get in the game, but there are many four-star options for free-to-play players as well. Sub-stats also play a critical role in determining how well a character performs, giving them massive Attack, HP, Defense, and Crit boosts.
Best Weapons for Alhaitham
Alhaitham is an on-field DPS unit that has a pretty unique playstyle (Mirrors!?). A lot of people have called him a Dendro Keqing thanks to his Keqing-like zig-zag elemental burst, but is that really the case? Let’s find the answer to the same in the end, but first, here are the best weapons for Alhaitham.
Do keep in mind that this list isn’t a best-to-worst list or vice versa. All weapons make Alhaitham an incredible, if not a great DPS unit.
1. Light of Foliar Incision
There’s nothing better than a signature weapon tailor-made for a character. Like Amos’ Bow for Ganyu and Engulfing Lightning for Raiden Shogun, Light of Foliar Incision is Alhaitham’s signature weapon.
Like most signature weapons of DPS characters that scale off Crit stats, Light of Foliar Incision scales off crit damage, and you can have a maximum of 88.2% on it. As for its passives, at R1, it increases the Crit Rate by 4%. Once you gain mirrors and deal elemental damage, you’ll obtain the Foliar Incision effect, which increases the damage dealt by Normal Attacks and Elemental Skills by 120% if Elemental Mastery.
This effect will disappear after 28 instances for 12 seconds and can be gained every 12 seconds.
2. Mistsplitter Reforged
Ayaka’s signature weapon, Mistsplitter Reforged, works incredibly well on Alhaitham. With a high base attack of 674 and Crit Damage stat of 44.1%, it adds a lot of value to his kit. But the crit stat isn’t the only highlight of this weapon.
At R1, the wielding character gains a 12% Elemental Damage Bonus for all elements, and the character receives “The might of the Mistsplitter’s Emblem.” The same has three stacks and gives an 8%/16%/28% elemental damage bonus. This should work great on Alhaitham since most of his damage is elemental damage.
“The character will obtain 1 stack of Mistsplitter’s Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals Elemental DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Burst (stack lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack’s duration is calculated independently.”
3. Primordial Jade Cutter
Primordial Jade Cutter is the most versatile weapon in Genshin Impact, as it works great with almost all sword wielders in the game, especially Keqing, Bennett, and Kamisato Ayato. The good news is, it also works well with Alhaitham, and we also believe it will work well with all sword characters coming in the future (Focalor *Wink *Wink).
Jade Cutter’s passive isn’t very useful for Alaitham, but it’s good to have nonetheless. R1 increases the character’s HP by 20% and deals an extra Attack Bonus based on 1.2% of the wielder’s max HP. Also, did we mention that this looks aesthetically pleasing on Alhaitham. I’d argue that Jade cutter looks better on him compared to his signature weapon.
4. Freedom-Sworn
If you want to run Alhaitham as DPS and buff other characters in your team, Kazuha’s signature weapon, Freedom-Sworn, is a good option. For starters, its sub-stat scales off Elementary Mastery (Max 198), making it the only five-star weapon in the game with EM.
The passive increases damage by 10%. The description of the weapon states, “When the character wielding this weapon triggers Elemental Reactions, they gain a Sigil of Rebellion. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 2 Sigils of Rebellion, all of them will be consumed, and all nearby party members will obtain “Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance” for 12s. “Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance” increases Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG by 16% and increases ATK by 20%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Rebellion for 20 seconds. Of the many effects of the “Millennial Movement,” buffs of the same type will not stack.”
Adding more EM to Alhaitham while increasing the damage by 20% makes it one of the best weapons for Alhaitham in the game.
5. Haran Geppaku Futsu
Ayato’s signature weapon works on Alhaitham too. With 608 base attack and crit rate as a sub-stat (Max 33.1%), players wouldn’t need to worry about the crit rate and can focus on building crit damage.
The weapon’s passive is also great. At R1, the wielder will obtain a 12% elemental damage bonus and one Wavespike stack if other characters in the party use their Elemental skills. At 2 stacks max, when the wielder uses their elemental skill, all stacks of Wavespike will be consumed to gain Rippling Upheaval, each stack increases the normal attack damage by 20% for 8 seconds.
This makes Haran Geppaku Futsu an excellent choice if you intend to use other characters and their elemental skills first, and then use Alhaitham’s normal attacks. Although, the cooldown is an issue, it’s a good option if you want to save primogems.
6. Black Sword
Black Sword is probably the best four-star weapon for Alhaitham as its stats work very well with his kit. Although, getting the weapon to R5 would require five months and purchasing Battle Pass if you don’t have it already. The weapon’s sub-stat scales off Crit rate and it’s passive increases normal and charged attack damage, which is great for Alhaitham.
Its passive increases damage dealt by normal and charged attacks by a whopping 40% at R5. Besides, the weapon can also help generate 100% of attack as HP when the normal or charged attack score a Crit hit. This eases up the requirement of a healer in your team to heal your DPS. However, this effect can only occur once every 5 seconds. Overall, it’s one of the best weapons for Alhaitham.
7. Harbinger of Dawn
Proved to be one of the greatest F2P options for Ayaka, the Harbinger of Dawn shouldn’t disappoint when paired with Alhaitham, largely because of its crit stats even though it’s a three-star weapon. No wonder why folks have called it a five-star in disguise.
Given that you’ve been playing Genshin for some time now, you may already have multiple copies of Harbinger of Dawn, enough to ascend it to R5. With a base attack of 401 and crit damage sub-stat of 46.9%, paired with an increase in crit rate (28%) if character’s HP is above 90%, this is an extraordinary free-to-play weapon for Alhaitham.
Although, if you intend to use the crit rate stats, you will need a buffed up healer in your party to keep Alhaitham’s HP above 90% and you should also possess the ability to dodge attacks efficiently.
8. Iron Sting
The Iron Sting is a decent option for Alhaitham thanks to its passive. The craftable four-star weapon has proved to be one of the best options for Kazuha as it’s sub-stat scales off elemental mastery (165 max).
And since it’s a craftable weapon, you should have it refined to R5 in no time, which provides an additional 12% increase in elemental damage for 6 seconds with two stacks occurring every one second, giving you a 24% increased damage, which is technically neverending. Hence the Iron Sting is one of the best free-to-play options for Alhaitham.
9. Dark Iron Sword
The Dark Iron Sword is a weapon that can be obtained by indulging in dialogue with Chen the Sharp in Liuye. If you’ve not already used it for leveling up other weapons like we did, it’s a viable alternative to Alhaitham. It’s a three-star weapon with base attack and elemental mastery as sub-stat (141 max).
As for its passives, at R5, it grants a 40% increase in attack upon triggering overload, superconduct, electro-charged, quicken, aggravate, hyperbloom, or electro-infused swirl reactions for 12 seconds, making it an ideal option for Alhaitham.
10. Tokabou Shigure
This limited-event weapon that could be obtained from the Akitsu Kimodameshi event in 3.3, is a good option for Alhaitham. Although, by the looks of it, people would think you’re trolling Alhaitham. With a base attack of 510 at level 90 and 165 elemental mastery, it may pair pretty similar to the Iron Sting, until you turn your head to its passives.
“After an attack hits opponents, it will inflict an instance of Cursed Parasol upon one of them for 10s. This effect is triggered every 15 seconds. After taking out an opponent during Cursed Parasol’s duration, Cursed Parasol’s CD will refresh immediately. The character wielding this weapon will deal 32% more DMG to the opponent affected by Cursed Parasol.” 32% increase in damage seems like a decent thing to use on Alhaitham as a DPS. Not to mention, it scales off EM; Hence, it’s a win-win.
How to build Alaitham?
For artifacts, Deepwood Memories is the best thanks to it providing 15% increased Dendro damage and decreased Dendro resistance. However, it’s not the end of the world. You could use a four-piece Gilded Dreams or 2-piece Deepwood and 2-piece Gilded (With elemental mastery if you have Alaitham’s signature weapon. Focus on Crit sub-stats on Deepwood pieces).
Additionally, if you have Nahida, you can get extra elemental mastery and make use of Alhaitham’s signature weapon to do extra damage (120% of Alhaitam’s elemental mastery). Sweet. A build that should work great is — Alhaitham, Nahida, Xingqui, and Kuki Shinobu.
Alhaitham Is A Great F2P-friendly Unit
While the passive of is signature weapon Light of Foliar Incision’s is great, having an elemental mastery sword and a couple pieces of ER artifacts make him an excellent damage dealer thanks to his talent, Mysteries Laid Bare. As an on-field DPS, he’s a strong addition to Genshin’s rooster of characters.
