Here’s A list Of All The Manufacturers Who’ll Include Wallpaper Theming In Android 12
One of the most fantastic features that Google has added in its latest iteration of Android, Android 12, is the Wallpaper Theming. For starters, as the name suggests, the feature extracts colors from the wallpapers and applies them system-wide. Sadly, as always, Pixels were the first phones to receive the Android 12 update and the feature, but other manufacturers are also almost ready with their UI’s on top of Android 12.
There were rumors that the Wallpaper theming will be Pixel exclusive only, but former XDA-Developers Editor-in-chief Mishaal Rahman has found out otherwise. He found a code change in Google’s Material You components, where he also found a list of device manufacturers that will be supporting the feature.
Adding to the discovery, he also said, “The color palettes that OEM implements generate from your wallpaper likely won’t be the same as what Google’s Monet generates, but you’ll still get dynamic colors, which is cool to see.” Here’s a list of manufacturers, other than Google, that will support dynamic theming.
- HMD Global
- Infinix
- Itel
- Lenovo
- Motorola
- OnePlus
- Oppo
- Realme
- Roboelectric
- Sharp
- Sony
- TCL
- Tecno
- Vivo
- Xiaomi
And yes, some of the huge names like Samsung, Asus, and Honor are missing from the list, but we hope they get on the bandwagon.
