Opera Browser For Android Starts Offering A Free VPN
We usually ask you not to opt for free VPN’s, especially on your Android device. Only a while ago, we came across a study which revealed that top free VPN apps on the Google Play Store come loaded with malware and tend to leak data.
With that being said, you can put faith on free VPN if it’s coming from a trustable source like Opera. Today, the company has announced a free VPN, which is integrated with the Opera browser.
Since the VPN feature of Opera for Android is in the beta version, for now, you will have to download the Opera Browser Beta from the Google Play Store.

Just like any VPN service, Opera’s in-built VPN allows you to choose servers from different locations such as Europe, America, and Asia. There’s also an Optimal mode which lets the VPN choose the best connection for your area.
By default, Opera allows you to use VPN in Opera Private tabs, and lets search engines bypass the VPN to access your location data. However, you can change both of the settings in the VPN submenu.
For the unacquainted, a VPN routes your data to a secure connection before handing to the Internet. The caveat with VPN is that browsing speed tend to get slow. But with data breaches happening every few days, it is vital for every Internet user to have a VPN service.
