Here’s How Xiaomi Mocked Apple For Steep Pricing Of New iPhones
Earlier this week, we saw the unveiling of three new iPhones – iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR along with Apple Watch 4 at the Apple Fall Event held in Cupertino.
As one would expect from Apple, all the new devices have exorbitant pricing so Xiaomi took the opportunity to take a dig at Apple by showing the number of Xiaomi products you can buy for the price of the new iPhones.
The Chinese manufacturer has launched new product bundles in China, named ‘XR Suit’, ‘XS Suit’, and ‘XS Max Set’ after iPhone’s new models.
Each of these three product bundles includes a smartphone, a laptop, a fitness band, and audio product. To mock Apple, the price of each bundle has been set equal to the starting price of the iPhone models they are named after.
XR Suit
The XR bundle includes a Xiaomi Mi 8 SE smartphone, 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air, the Mi Band 3, the Mi Bluetooth Mini Headset. is priced at CNY 6,499 (Rs. 68,200 approx) which is roughly equal to the starting price of the iPhone XR.
XS Suit
The XS bundle offers the Mi MIX 2S smartphone, the 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air, the Mi Band 3, and Mi Bluetooth Mini Headset. Priced at CNY 8,699 (Rs. 91,300 approx) has the same price as that of iPhone XS 64GB in China.
XS Max Set
The third one is XS Max Set which includes the Mi 8 smartphone, the Mi Notebook Pro laptop, the Mi Band 3, and Mi Bluetooth neckband. This product bundle costs CNY 9,599 (Rs. 1,00,700 approx) similar to the pricing of iPhone XS Max’s base model in China.
