Reliance Jio Expected To Introduce Large-Screen Smartphones

Telecom operator Reliance Jio, with an aim to rule the Indian tech market, is soon expected to launch budget smartphones with big screens to take care of the want to have 4G devices at really cheap prices.

In an interview with Economic Times, Sunil Dutt, head sales, channel development at Reliance Jio said, “We are trying to work with partners who can bring in affordable large screen smartphones for a large mass of customers who are yet to make a shift to a 4G smartphone, so that they can experience the right kind of connectivity as well as the right kind of content on devices which are affordable.”

Reliance Jio is in talks with several other companies to bring affordable devices to people who wish to upgrade from feature phones.

For this, the telecom operator is expected to launch such budget devices in every few months to maintain catering to people’s needs in India.

For those who don’t know, Reliance Jio, in the time period of two years, has introduced 4G-enabled feature phones- the JioPhone and the JioPhone 2 which comes with support for popular social media sites such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and YouTube, at really affordable prices.

However, other details still remain unknown. We expect Reliance Jio to launch its large-screen smartphones soon in 2019.
