PlayStation 5 Restock Is Exclusive To Amazon Prime Members
PlayStation 5 is among the next-gen tech pieces that have become hard to find and purchase since its launch last year. While there are some lucky ones out there, most of us have had hard luck trying to own a PS5. Even stores like Amazon have not even able to maintain a proper supply of the high in demand PlayStation 5.
Not just this, many scalpers are looking for opportunities to buy the next-gen console in bulk and then sell it off at higher prices, subsequently making off-the-chart profits. This practice makes it hard to maintain a proper supply of PlayStation 5 and makes restocking harder for genuine buyers.
Meanwhile, Amazon is quietly making PS5 restocks easier for Amazon Prime members. This instance is first reported in Amazon UK restocks, where Prime members could buy the PS5 with exclusivity. The PS5 restock was sold out before non-prime users can even get their hands on it; this comes as no surprise, though.
On the other hand, just as the restock was about to go live, Amazon added a note to the product’s description. It wrote, “Amazon Prime customers will have priority access to the PlayStation 5 until July 14th, 2021.” Note that Amazon never gives out any prior warnings. Moreover, this tactic is a great way to get around those awful scalpers as you won’t expect them to have a Prime membership.
Interestingly, it remains to be seen if that will be the case with Amazon US PlayStation 5 restock. Meanwhile, it’s a good time to get an Amazon Prime membership, as Amazon could do the same in Amazon US or other regions as they begin to restock PlayStation 5. Moreover, if you don’t want to buy the Amazon Prime membership to get your hands on a PlayStation5, you can even get a 30-day free trial.
