Check Your Inbox Because You May Have Received $100 From Microsoft
The holiday season arrives early for Microsoft as it’s sending gift cards to random U.S. customers. Some users reported that the tech giant sent them gift cards ranging from $10 to $100. It is not sure how Microsoft chose the users, but the selection seems to be random.
A spokesperson from the tech giant confirmed the giveaway to The Verge. Likewise, the company sent out gift cards to 50,000 users. If you have a Microsoft account and are receiving emails from Microsoft, do check your inbox. Also, check your spam folder as well.
The spokesperson said:
To help spread holiday cheer, Microsoft Store has surprised a total of 50,000 U.S. customers with virtual gift cards via email. 25,000 customers will receive a $100 Microsoft Gift Card while 25,000 others will receive a $10 Gift Card ahead of this holiday season. These randomly selected recipients can redeem their gift card on Microsoft Store through December 31, 2021 and spend it within 90 days of redemption.
As per the statement, you can use the holiday gift card within 90 days of its redemption. The last date for redemption is 31 December.
If you’re one of the lucky users, you can use the gift card on Microsoft Store. In the same vein, you could get a good deal on the Surface Pro 8, Surface Go 3, or the Surface Duo 2. Got a $10 gift card? You can use it on the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate just in case you’re a gamer. You can use the deal to get a discount on anything on the Microsoft Store, so make sure to use it well.
