God of War is a hugely popular franchise, and ever since the announcement of ‘God of War: Ragnarok,’ fans have been eager to get their hands on the game. The game was scheduled to be released in 2021, but further development pushed it to 2022. This helped the developers spend more time polishing God of War: Ragnarok and offered fans a better experience with a new release date.

Since there’s no official release date on God of War: Ragnarok, we don’t know when the game will come out in 2022. However, this seems to have changed with the PlayStation database seemingly leaking the release date of GOW: Ragnarok.

God of War: Ragnarok’s possible release date

Based on the leak, the release date for GOW: Ragnarok could be September 30th, 2022. However, the date may be a placeholder, not the actual release date. Sony may be planning to release GOW: Ragnarok in the same quarter, or the leaked release date could be actual. Whichever is the case, we urge you to take this information with a grain of salt, as nothing has been confirmed by Sony yet.

Moreover, the leaked release date of GOW: Ragnarok aligns with the previous releases. Considering the day being Friday, it aligns with the last AAA release. On the other hand, the leaked release date also makes sense since fall is usually when the year’s biggest games come out. Furthermore, the September 30th release should put a gap between God of War: Ragnarok and other AAA titles in 2022.

While the news of Kratos coming is surely going to make some fans happy, PlayStation also has some other AAA titles releasing next year. To name a few, Horizon Forbidden West, Hogwarts Legacy, Gotham Knights make the list of the most anticipated games of 2022.
