How iPad Pro 2018 Stacks Against Surface Pro 6 And Pixel Slate [Specs Showdown]
Since the release of iPad 2018, we have been desperately waiting for a refresh to the iPad Pro line. And now the day has finally arrived — Apple has announced an entirely revamped iPad Pro models at its New York event.
Just like the rumors, the new Apple iPad Pro comes with slimmer bezels and the USB Type C ports. On the inside, it comes embedded with Apple’s new A12X Bionic chip with an 8-core CPU and 7-core GPU.
The new iPad Pro, which still arrives in the display sizes of 11-inch and 12.9-inch, now includes a True Depth Sensor hiding in those minimum bezels. In other words, iPad Pros 2018 have the same Face ID unlocking system as the iPhones XS and XR. Obviously, they have got rid of the iconic Home Button.
While we are happy about the new Apple Pencil support and the desktop-like Adobe Photoshop, one significant change about the iPad that will surely disappoint a whole lot of Apple fans is the removal of 3.5 mm headphone jack. But, of course, the device is now sleeker and weights much lesser than the June 2017 edition.
Apple releasing iPads at the end of the year doesn’t mean they’re clearly the best in line. Previously, we have seen upgrades to the Microsft Surface Pro. And then there’s the new Google Pixel Slate which is the first tablet from the company.
With the rising competition, not to mention the already established market of Surface Pro 6 and the Google Pixel Slate, it would be difficult for Apple to de-stabilize these products. So let’s see what the facts have to say about it –
