2021 Toyota Venza To Debut As Full Hybrid Vehicle With 40 MPG Mileage
The 2021 Toyota Venza is all set to make its debut as a hybrid vehicle. The automaker claims that the upcoming Venza will break the company’s “sameness barrier” with the latest refinements in design.
The Toyota Venza hybrid vehicle will be a two-row mid-size crossover with sedan-like driving comfort. The SUV uses the company’s Global Architecture K-platform, also used by some sedans.
In a press release, Toyota said that the Venza hybrid vehicle would be assembled at its Takaoka Plant.
Here’s what’s important about the 2021 Toyota Venza.
2021 Toyota Venza Hybrid Powertrain
Under the hood is the new generation Toyota Hybrid System II with three electric motors in combination with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The engine and electric motors together provide a total output of 219 BHP, and a fuel economy of 40 mpg in base LE trim.
The above combination makes Venza powerful as well as fuel-efficient at the same time.
We can’t say how the mileage will vary in the high-end variants as the company has not described it in detail. However, we hope that the powertrain efficiency will remain the same across all trims.
The Toyota Venza hybrid will have a Standard Electronic On-Demand all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. Apart from this, it will operate in three driving modes, namely: NORMAL, ECO, and SPORT mode.
Moreover, there will be a pure EV mode that will allow the car to run only using the battery, but it won’t deliver a high driving range or speed.
Toyota Venza Has A Cool Interior
Compared to the older variant, the 2021 Venza has had some significant makeover. The dashboard consists of a 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen. However, the standard LE and XLE trims will have a smaller 8-inch screen. Additionally, the standard variant LE will have a 4.2-inch multi-informational display in the instrument cluster and a six-speaker audio system.
The infotainment system seems compatible with Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa. For ease of usability, there will be access to Siri for Apple users as well as Google Assistant for Android users.
To maximize comfort, all models will have an eight-way adjustable driver’s seat.
Safety Features
Based on the features on this list, Venza will be a super safe crossover.
The Venza hybrid vehicle comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense (TSS 2.0). TSS is an active safety suite that includes high standard safety features like:
- Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
- Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
- Automatic High Beams
- Pre-Collision System with Daytime/Low-Light Vehicle and Pedestrian Detection, plus Daytime Bicycle Detection
- Road Sign Assist
- Lane Tracing Assist
Moreover, the SUV also comes with all the essential safety features like Airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System, and Electronic Stability Program.
There is one more feature Toyota fans will appreciate. The Venza hybrid offers a Star Gaze fixed panoramic glass roof which uses electrochromic technology to improve visibility. The technology reduces direct sunlight, yet it brightens the cabin giving it a more lively feeling.
The list of features for this new hybrid vehicle goes on, and you can read them in detail here.
The company is yet to reveal the price of the Toyota Venza hybrid. However, we will keep you updated as soon as any official information is released.
