We are witnessing the last days of the year 2014. This year’s US domestic box office was one of the worst in recent years. We saw movies of varied genres but just like the last year, superhero flicks and sequels dominated the box-office collections.

Guardians of The Galaxy was the winner in US market, closely followed by The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The LEGO Movie.

Due to its exceptional performance in China, Transformers: Age of Extinction, fourth instalment in Michael Bay’s mega-franchise, became the king of global box office of 2014.
