Leaked: Windows 10 Build 14997 Appears Online With Many Updated Features

Short Bytes: It has come to light that the Windows 10 Build 14997 has been leaked online. The build comes from the internal release channel rs_onecore_base and brings new features in the Settings app, Edge browser, etc.

It’s less a than a week since Microsoft released the Windows 10 Build 14986 officially — the last Windows update for 2016 — in the market and a leaked version of the yet-to-be-launched Build 14997 has appeared online.

The Windows 10 Build 14997.1001, i.e. Creator’s Update or Redstone 2, leak is announced in a BetaArchive thread.

The updated build comes with improvements in the Themes section, Settings app. Edge browser, etc. Microsoft, through its Windows Insider Program, facilitates preview builds originating out of the rs_prerelease branch.

The thing that sets Build 14997 apart is that the build has originated from rs_onecore_base, an internal development branch.
