As the company intends to eliminate all diesel engines from the market, the SUV will likely have a petrol version. According to some reports, it is expected that on the final launch, there might be a CNG as well.
Under the bonnet, there will likely be a 1.0 Liter Turbocharged TSI (Turbocharged Spark Ignition) petrol engine. The engine can create a whooping 113 bhp and a peak torque of 200 Nm.
If we talk about transmission, then there will be a 6-speed manual transmission and possibly a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission (Direct Shift Gearbox).
According to Volkswagen, Taigun will have a longer wheelbase than its former global model T-cross, making it more spacious and more comfortable.
The upcoming SUV will sport LED headlights and a stylish single-bar LED-panel at the rear, which gives it a glamorous look.
The area where the VW Taigun can score a lead over Hyundai Creta is in design and styling. Tiguan combines elements of a traditional compact SUV like a high-up seating position and a swooped up rear which resembles a hatchback.
