Twitter Could Soon Get An Option To ‘Hide Tweets’
Twitter has been planning ways to provide users with more flexibility around their posted tweets, and it seems like a new Hide Tweets feature is in tow for the same.
Initially spotted by a Twitter user, Jane Manchun Wong, the company is testing replies moderation which involves the new Hide Tweets feature.
As found in the micro-blogging site’s code, the feature will allow users to hide tweets which a particular user doesn’t want to show on the platform.

For instance, there could be various replies and tweets (relating to a particular tweet) which could be derogatory and hiding them could be a better option.
Additionally, along with the feature, the ability to view the hidden tweets is likely to arrive as well.
Upon being approached by TechCrunch, Twitter confirmed via a tweet thread that a Hide Tweets feature is being planned and explained further about the function.

It is suggested that the new feature will call for a healthier chat environment, in addition to the existing block, mute, and report options.
However, there is no word on when the feature will become official.
To recall, Twitter is also rumored to introduce a Clarity feature for users to provide clarifications on their posted tweets.
