OnePlus has been receiving backlash for delaying the updates to its smartphones. To provide more clarity to users, the Chinese smartphone company has released a list of eligible devices for OxygenOS 11 and the release schedule for the OxygenOS 11 for its different smartphones. OxygenOS 11 Compatible Smartphones
The first device to get an OxygenOS 11 update this year will be the OnePlus Nord. OnePlus has announced that OnePlus Nord will receive its first OxygenOS 11 Open Beta build next week and the stable builds will follow after bugs and issues from the beta builds are ironed out. The next OnePlus device to receive OxygenOS 11 update will be the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T. On the forum, OnePlus has said that it encountered data encryption issues while optimizing Android 11 for OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T but now it has sorted out the issues with Qualcomm and now ready for the rollout. The company will release OxygenOS 11 Open Beta for the OnePlus 7 and 7T series soon.
However, the company remains tight-lipped about OxygenOS 11 updates for OnePlus 6/6T and Nord 10 5G/100. It mentioned in the post that “we’ll keep you posted on more details later” for these smartphones. OnePlus 6 was released back in May 2018 and has already received two major Android updates. It is good that the company has plans to release OxygenOS 11 for OnePlus 6 as well.
