OnePlus 6T In-display Fingerprint Sensor Confirmed
OnePlus has garnered a massive fan following with the help of innovative devices at ridiculously low prices. And now it seems like the company is going to keep it that way for years to come.
Today, OnePlus confirmed that it is going to bring in-display fingerprint sensor to its upcoming flagship device, reportedly called OnePlus 6T.
This comes after the OnePlus box packaging leak where the box sketches showed off a waterdrop notch and indicated towards an in-display fingerprint sensor.
In an e-mail exchange with CNET, OnePlus said, “We unlock our phones multiple times a day, and Screen Unlock reduces the number of steps to complete the action,”
Vivo first introduced the in-display fingerprint technology at the CES 2018 (Consumer Electronics Show). After that, we saw an array of devices coming with in-display fingerprint sensor, including Vivo X11, Vivo X20 Plus UD, Vivo Nex, Huawei Mate RS Porsche Design.
One plus also said, ” By adding this feature as an addition to other display unlocking options such as Face Unlock, users will have options to unlock the display in a way that is most efficient for them.”
Apart from that, OnePlus 6T rumors formerly suggested that the device will house a triple rear camera setup and will reportedly launch for $550. The OnePlus flagship device will launch on somewhere in October.
