New Free Battle Royale Game ‘Spellbreak’ Hits 5 Million Players In 3 Weeks
Spellbreak is a multiplayer game with a different take on the battle royale genre. Proletariat, the developer of Spellbreak, launched the game on Sep 3, and in just three weeks, the game garnered 5 Million players.
Interestingly, United States, Japan, and Brazil are the top three countries by total players.
Also, it seems like Spellbreak is an incredible game to watch. That’s because the game has more than 4 million watched hours on Twitch, which is impressive.
For those who don’t know, Spellbreak is nothing like your tradition battle royale games like Fortnite and Warzone. That’s because, in Spellbreak, players don’t get any sort of gun to fight with other players. Instead, all players have to make use of magical gauntlets to cast spells on enemies and unleash their inner battlemage.
In short, players have to master the different combinations of spells to dominate other players, a concept that is pretty unique.
In Spellbreak, you can choose between six different classes, i.e., Frostborn, Conduit, Pyromancer, Toxicologist, Stoneshaper, or Tempest. Each mage class unleashes a distinct playstyle with control over different elements. For instance, Pyromancer lets you control the fire element, whereas Frostborn class enables you to master the use of ice.
The unique fantasy approach in Battle Royale format has led to a successful launch of Spellbreak. And if you’re also intrigued to try out the game, then Spellbreak is available on the Epic Games Store. Also, what’s impressive is that the game is entirely free to play.
