iPhone 6 – bigger? better?

When development of iPhone began in 2004 under the codename “Project Purple” nobody other than Steve Jobs imagined the amount of success it would gain in future years. It has been ten years since the first launch and now people are eagerly waiting for iPhone 6 and this anticipation is higher than ever.

iPhone 5 was the sixth generation of the iPhone and we saw iPhone 4S, iPhone 5S and an unexpected iPhone 5C with a colorful and plastic look. It was launched with a new and fresh looking iOS 6.0. There were major design changes such as an aluminum-based body which was thinner and lighter than previous models, a taller screen with new compact dock connector which replaces the 30-pin design used by previous iPhone models. This is the second Apple phone to include its new Sony made 8MP Camera.

There are lots of rumors all over the internet preceding the expected launch.

Apple’s 2014 iPhone is expected to be equipped with these feature:
include a larger redesigned form factor, with 4.7″ and 5.5″ diagonal screens.
The 4.7″ model will be introduced first around September, with the 5.5″ model following later.

  • Release Date: September 2014
  • Larger screen: 4.7″ (perhaps 1704×960 pixels) and 5.5″
  • Sapphire crystal screen
  • Faster and more efficient A8 chip
  • Rumored prices  £500/$858/AU$915/51,200 for the 4.7-inch model but the 5.5-inch handset is likely to cost £563/$966/AU$1030/60,900.
