WhatsApp Dark Mode Arrives In Beta: Here Is How To Enable It
WhatsApp dark mode was the buzz in tech town for the last few months. The basic developments in the dark mode were found several times in the beta versions of the Facebook-owned instant messaging app.
After much anticipation, dark mode in WhatsApp has finally arrived in the latest Android Beta version 2.20.13. However, this could be a disappointment (for some time) for non-beta testers as won’t be able to enjoy the feature until WhatsApp dark mode arrives on the stable version. Fret not, we have a solution below for the non-beta users as well.
How to Get WhatsApp Dark Mode Right Now?
Android Beta testers only need to update their WhatsApp from the Google Play Store to get dark mode functionality. Non-beta testers, i.e. normal users can download the latest WhatsApp beta APK from here.
Bear in mind, users might face bugs while using the feature since it’s the beta version of WhatsApp. Or you can wait a little longer as this feature will officially roll-out in the future WhatsApp updates. In case you are running the beta version, make sure you re-install WhatsApp from the Google Play Store to receive official updates.
How To Enable WhatsApp Dark Mode?
Make sure that you back-up your chats before installing the beta version of WhatsApp. You can simply do that by going into app’s settings>Chats>Chat Backup>Tap on Backup
Here is how to enable dark mode in WhatsApp beta app –
- Tap on the three-dot menu button — Tap on Settings.
- Tap on Chats.
- Under the Display Tab, tap on Theme.
- Choose Dark.
In the last step, users can also select “Set by battery saver,” where WhatsApp will automatically turn on Dark Mode as soon as you set the phone on battery saver.
