Google Confirms The Ugly-Looking Pixel 4 Design And This Makes Me Weep
Of late, we have seen a lot of Google Pixel 4 leaks and rumors and this rumor thread is bound to grow. Amidst this, Google has officially confirmed the design of its upcoming flagship and I am not sure how to react.
According to a tweet by Google’s Twitter handle, it’s official that the forthcoming Pixel 4 will feature a big camera bump at the back, pretty much like the iPhone 11 is slated to sport.
If the image shared is to be believed, the rear camera module will comprise two cameras, an LED flash, and an additional sensor — most likely to be the spectral sensor.
In addition to this, the bottom part of the backside houses the Google logo, much like any other Google smartphone.

I already dread the iPhone 11 design and with Google confirming a similar design, it makes me wonder whether or not the 2019 Google flagships could make a mark.
While the image doesn’t show the front of the device, the front is expected to go for an edge-to-edge display and could include multiple sensors.
Following previous rumors, the Pixel 4 is expected to ditch the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and go for either an in-display fingerprint sensor or 3D Face Unlock.
In terms of the specs, the device could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and might provide users with a number of RAM/ROM options to choose from.
It could possibly support Google’s Active Edge and Night Sight features.
Additionally, Google is expected to launch the Pixel 4 XL along with the Pixel 4, much like it does every year. However, other details remain unknown.
It seems like Google is trying to adopt the now-common features (multiple camera sensors, similar design, in-display fingerprinting, and more) to keep up with the competition in the mobile world, given the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL weren’t that impressive.
