The automaker has calculated the power backup based on the daily usage of up to 30 kWh per day. This way, you can use your pickup truck as a backup power source. This feature is quite helpful when the power supply gets knocked out by a storm or any other mishap.
2. Enhanced Pro Power Onboard
This feature allows you to use the Ford F-150 Lightning as a mobile power generator. Enhanced Pro Power Onboard offers a 9.6 kW of power. The users can utilize this power through 11 outlets in the pickup truck.
There are four 120V outlets in the frunk (front trunk), four in the bed, and two inside the cabin. There’s also a 240V socket in the bed for heavy applications.
A smaller version of this kind of technology is available as the ‘Vehicle To Load‘ feature in Hyundai Ioniq 5. However, Ioniq 5 doesn’t offer as extensive applications as in F-150 Lightning.
F-150 Lightning also offers an additional tailgate work surface for handling multiple tasks. It’s a flat platform integrated with the rulers, mobile device holder, cup holder, and other storage to simplify your work.
