Akamai DNS Outage: Downtime At PS, Amazon, UPS, Steam, Airbnb, HBO Max, COD, PayTM

Major websites and platforms like the PlayStation Network, Steam, Airbnb, and FedEx are reportedly down. Over 50,000 reports and counting are reported on Downdetector.

Apart from gaming platforms like Steam and the PlayStation Network, travel websites like Airbnb and Expedia are also down. Popular games like Genshin Impact and Call of Duty and e-packet services like FedEx and UPS are also reportedly down.

When Will The Websites Be Back?

The issue has been identified, and it’s due to the outage of Edge DNS in Akamai servers and partially due to Amazon Web Services.

The list of apps that are currently having issues also has some popular streaming sites like Hulu, HBO Max, and Zee5. Apart from that, e-payment platforms like PayTM, Amazon Pay, and Discover are also down.

Many websites and apps have recovered from the outage; hence, expect things to get back to normal pretty soon.
