Now, after experimenting with the small form factor, Asus is returning to bigger smartphones with the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra. Here is everything you need to know about it.
When will the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra launch?
According to the latest reports, the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra will launch on March 14th in the US, Europe, and Taiwan.
Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra: Design and Display
Borrowing design elements from the ROG series, the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra will feature the same pentagon-shaped camera cutout, housing the triple camera sensors, along with diagonal lines across the back. In terms of colors, the phone will be available in Eternal Black, Skyline Blue, Misty Gray, Verdure Green, and Desert Sienna.
Coming to the front, the phone will house a center punch-hole selfie camera, along with a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED LTPO 144Hz display. Furthermore, for users who still prefer a higher-quality listening experience, the device will also include a headphone jack.
Specifications
In terms of the processor, the device will house the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, featuring one high-performance Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3300 MHz, five medium-performance Cortex-A720 cores, and two efficient Cortex-A520 cores running at 2260 MHz, paired with the Adreno 750 GPU.
Besides the processor, the Zenfone 11 Ultra will also come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS4.0 storage.
Cameras
While cameras on Asus smartphones have been adequate, they were never the main selling point, considering the image processing lacked in challenging scenarios. However, all this could change with the Zenfone 11 Ultra, which is set to include a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with gimbal stabilization, along with a 13MP 120-degree UltraWide camera and a 32MP 3x telephoto sensor.
Furthermore, the phone will reportedly include a 32MP selfie shooter capable of recording 1080p@30fps video.
Software
The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra will come with Android 14 out of the box, and judging by its predecessor, the phone will receive at least two years of Android updates and four years of security patches.
Battery
According to the latest reports, the device will house a massive 5,500mAh battery, with support for 65W wired and 15W wireless charging.
