ASUS ROG Phone 2 Arrives In India For Gaming Fanatics
After recently introducing the second installment of its gaming smartphone series — the ROG Phone 2 — ASUS has now brought the new gaming smartphone to Indian shores. The smartphone was unveiled at an event in the country.
ASUS ROG Phone 2 Highlights
The gaming smartphone comes with a number of highlights, with the 120Hz refresh rate being the primary one. With an increased refresh rate, the ROG Phone 2 joins the league of existing Razer 1 and Razer 2 gaming phones.
While it is not the first smartphone to come with a 120Hz refresh rate, it is the first to feature a 120Hz OLED display. To recall, the Razer phones have LCD displays.
Another highlight is the presence of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor for an enhanced performance you need during heavy gameplay.
The gaming smartphone comes with ASUS’ GameCool 2 second-gen cooling system for faster heat dissipation.
Additionally, there’s a massive 6,000mAh battery with a 30W HyperCharge fast charging and support for AirTrigger 2 tech for better ultrasonic touch controls and reduced vibration latency.
ASUS ROG Phone 2 Specs
The ASUS ROG Phone 2 comes with a 6.59-inch AMOLED 10-bit HDR display with a screen resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels.
It comes in two RAM/ROM variants: 8GB/128GB and 12GB/512GB.
On the camera front, the ROG Phone 2 has dual rear cameras (a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor a 13MP ultra wide-angle sensor). The one at the front stands at 24MP.
Additionally, this gaming smartphone runs Android Pie with ROG UI on top has dual front-facing speakers with DTS:X Ultra, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and support for facial recognition.
ASUS ROG Phone 2 Price and Availability
The ASUS ROG Phone 2 is priced at Rs 37,999 (8GB/128GB) and Rs 57,999 (12GB/512GB). The ROG Phone 2 will be up for grabs via Flipkart, starting September 30.
Furthermore, the ROG Phone 2 comes with various accessories such as the AeroActive Cooler 2 (Rs 3,999), Professional Dock (Rs 5,499), ROG Kunai gamepad (Rs 9,999), TwinView Dock 2 (Rs 19,999), and more.
