Android Pie Beta Rolling Out On Some Xiaomi Mi A1 Devices

After months of wait, Xiaomi Mi A1 users will finally be seeing Android 9 Pie on their device. Android Pure reports that one of its staff was able to download Android Pie Beta through a VPN using Netherlands server.

Android 9 Pie is the latest Android update from Google. It includes some amazing features like Gesture Navigation, Adaptive display and battery, Digital Wellbeing and much more.

In August, Google first rolled out Android 9 Pie stable version for the Pixel devices. At the time of the announcement, Google also said that devices under the Android One program would be getting the update sooner than other devices.

Xiaomi Mi A1 was the company’s first device to be part of Android One program. Naturally, we are seeing the Android Pie update on the device. Although Xiaomi is only testing the 9 Pie beta version, the device will likely to get the update by early January.

However, I am not denying the fact Xaiomi Mi A1 is still a little late to the Android Pie update, considering nearly all Nokia Android One devices have already received the stable version.

Meanwhile, the update on Xiaomi Mi A1 will bring a bunch of significant changes to the devices. Apart from the Android 9 Pie notable features, the device will also get FM Radio support which was previously missing.
