However, that’s not all the surprise MCU characters you can expect to see in the movie. Read our complete list to find out what other surprise characters are in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Spoiler warning beyond this point, you have been warned.
Spider-Man: No Way Home Surprise Casts
Tobey Maguire as the original Spider-Man
Previously, there was a leak teasing all three Spiderman teaming up together. We can now confirm that was an actual scene from the movie. The first and original Spider-Man, Tobey Maguire, reprises his role, which is more than just a brief cameo.
The film makes him an essential part of the movie’s climax. He guides the MCU’s Peter Parker as a more veteran Spiderman. He shares his failures with his counterparts and eventually stops Peter from making a grave mistake.
Of course, the film also features his old nemesis Green Goblin, Otto Octavius, and Sandman. This is despite the former two villains dying at the end of Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2. Of course, this makes up for a very awkward and hostile situation.
Andrew Garfield as the Amazing Spider-Man
Andrew Garfield also reprises his role as the Amazing Spiderman (pun intended). He acts as the comedy relief among the trio of web slingers. This adds to the comedy that has become an essential part of MCU movies.
Along with Tobey, Andrew’s Spiderman also shares his failures with Peter so that he doesn’t repeat his past mistake (RIP Gwen). He is also joined by two villains from his respective universe — Dr. Connors aka the Lizard and Electro. The latter also makes his return despite his death in Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Charlie Cox as Daredevil
Fans were also delighted to see Charlie Cox making a brief cameo as the blind hero/superhero lawyer, Daredevil. However, he didn’t get enough screen time as fans hoped, although we did get a nice scene with him and Peter.
Thankfully, Kevin Feige has confirmed that Charlie Cox will make appearances as Daredevil in future MCU projects.
“If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil. Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen.”

Spider-Man: No Way Home mid- credit scene
Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom
Tom Hardy makes a brief cameo in the mid-credits of Spider-Man No Way Home. Although we didn’t get to see him interacting with any of the other characters, we got some hints that we will see Venom in future projects. The scene teases a part of Venom leaving a part of the symbiote in the MCU (Most likely for the next Spider-Man movie).
Spider-Man: No Way Home Post Credit Scene
Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff
It’s the first time that Marvel didn’t tease their next big movie using a scene from the film but through a teaser trailer. In the post-credit scene, we see a trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
This is the first time we see Wanda after the events of WandaVision. It seems that Doctor strange needs her help to fight the big bad in the next big MCU film. More on that in the next entry.
Evil Doctor Strange: Sorcerer Supreme (What If)
The next big villain for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is himself. Yes, the sorcerer supreme would be facing off against his evil self. It seems that this version of Doctor Strange is the one we saw in Marvel’s What If series.
However, Marvel has a history of giving characters moral reasons for their actions. This can also be a small cameo and a call-back to the series.
Chiwetel Ejiofor as Karl Mordo
In the trailer, Karl Mordo also makes a brief appearance with a different and much cooler hairstyle. This is the first time we have seen Stephen Strange’s mentor turned enemy after the original film. At the moment, it is not sure whether he would be an ally or an enemy.
Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez aka Miss America
We also get our first look at America Chavez, aka Miss America. She is the new big addition to the MCU roster of heroes. In the comics, she comes from a parallel world and is a member of the Young Avengers. This is pretty much in line with MCU’s multiverse approach towards phase four.
