Surface Pro 8 With 120Hz Display Leaks Ahead Of Launch
Significant Surface Pro 8 has leaked, just days ahead of the Microsoft Surface Event on September 22. The leaks come from an infographic that appears to be a retail listing for the Surface Pro 8. Likewise, it confirms various specifications of Microsoft’s upcoming device.
The infographic assures a sleek 13-inch 120Hz display and two Thunderbolt ports. Several reports have already speculated that the Surface Pro 8 would ship without USB-A ports, making way for USB-C and Thunderbolt. However, if these leaks are believed, this will be the most significant upgrade seen at Microsoft’s Surface Event.
More Surface Pro 8 Leaks
The Twitter handle “Shadow_Leak” has published an infographic incorporating the details of the Surface Pro 8.
The infographic confirms that Intel’s 11th-generation series of CPUs will power the Surface Pro 8. Further, as obvious as it is, the machine will have Windows 11 running. Microsoft is holding the Surface Event days before the official Windows 11 rollout. Hence, we expect to see new Surface Laptops showing off Windows 11’s new and exclusive features, for these are Microsoft’s own devices.
The leaks further hint that Microsoft is moving to swappable SSDs on the Surface Pro 8, just like the Surface Laptop 4. This will be better for businesses to swap out drives on any work-based Surface laptops. With the added dual Thunderbolt support, the possibilities to do more have increased. Moreover, you can hook up an entire USB hub for more ports or go to the extremes and plug in an external GPU for efficient gaming on the laptop.
The upcoming September 22 event will be one of Microsoft’s most packed events in a long time. In the same vein, we expect to see Microsoft announcing the Surface Pro 8, a new Surface Book 4, a refreshed Surface Pro X, Surface Go 3. and the controversial Surface Duo 2. Stay tuned for all the Surface news straight from the event on September 22.
