Windows Subsystem For Android Benchmarks Look Promisingly Good!
The benchmark results of the upcoming Windows Subsystem for Android have arrived, and they look impressive, on paper at least. In this article, let’s glance at some benchmark numbers and predict how good the performance could be.
One of the most hyped features of Windows 11 that Microsoft introduced during the launch is running Android applications via Windows Subsystem for Android. Although the feature hasn’t yet made it to the Developer and Beta previews, we believe Microsoft has been testing it extensively behind the scenes.=
Windows Subsystem For Android: Benchmarks
The Geekbench listings were first spotted by Twitter user Jakub.
The listings show us both low and high scores. It’s hard to predict the hardware used because the benchmarks were emulated. However, some numbers were well over 3000 for the multi-core score and above 800 for the single-core.
Depending on these numbers, one can expect the app performance to be on par with Snapdragon 865 found in popular smartphones like the OnePlus 8 Pro and the Galaxy S20 Series(USA).
Windows 11 uses Amazon’s app store. Although, a Microsoft Engineer has confirmed that one will be able to sideload APK files like on Android.
