Nokia’s New Budget Phone G20 Will Launch In The U.S. Soon
In April, HMD Global’s Nokia announced new G series of phones, and it looks like they’re finally coming to the U.S. As of now, there are two phones in the G series – G10 and G20, which resemble quite a lot to Nokia X10.
Nokia G20 Specifications
The G20 is powered by Mediatek’s Helio G35 SoC which is found in most of the budget devices of today’s. It’s an octa-core chipset based on the 12nm process, and the max frequency is clocked at 2.3GHz.
The processor has older Arm Cortex-A53 power-efficient cores, which don’t pack a lot of power but are decent for carrying out day-to-day tasks. The combination of A53 cores, an HD+ (720P) display, and a mammoth 5,050 mAh battery should last for around two days of moderate to heavy usage.
The display’s aspect ratio is 20:9. There’s a 48MP main sensor in the camera department along with a 5MP ultra-wide, 2MP Macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is of 8MP resolution. Apart from that, the phone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
HMD Global’s North America Vice-President, Cristian Capelli, said, “You can always trust a Nokia phone to deliver a secure experience, thanks to our Android promise and battery life. We take pride in looking after our customers by creating phones that you can keep for longer, thanks to the durability of our devices inside and out. What we have achieved with the Nokia G20 is a true reliable mobile phone with whopping three-day battery life, meaning you don’t need to be chained to a charging cord.”

Nokia also promises three years of updates and security patches. The phone will run Android 11 out of the box. It will be available starting July for $199 in two colors – Night and Glacier.
Nokia previously has delivered on their update promises by rolling out quick updates. All the Nokia phones are a part of Google’s Android One program makes its phones one of the best if you want to experience pure Android on a budget.
