Hyundai Motor India has officially unveiled the first design renders for the upcoming i20. The new Hyundai i20 is set to launch next month before Diwali. The upcoming model of the i20 has received some significant design updates and looks sportier than before.
Hyundai i20 is a premium hatchback from the South Korean automaker and is one of the company’s best selling cars. However, some potential rivals like Maruti Baleno and Tata Altroz always give a competing edge.
Hyundai says the all-new i20 is designed to evoke a human-machine interface. It’s based on the company’s Sensuous Sportiness design theme. Anyway, let’s discuss what changes the automaker incorporated into the 2020 Hyundai i20.

Exterior Design
The new i20 sports a cascading front grille along with sleek LED DRLs, projector headlamps, and new foglamps encased in a triangular-shaped housing. The sharp lines on the bonnet make it even bolder.
The automaker has also provided dual-tone alloys and a shark fin antenna to give it a premium look. If we talk about the rear profile, the z-shaped tail-lights and a chrome strip enhance the hatchback’s sporty look.
In short, the new Hyundai i20 is noticeably distinctive and sportier compared to its previous model.
Interior
Although the automaker has not released pictures from inside the cabin, the sources suggest its layout will be similar to the international model. Additionally, it will be equipped with features like automatic climate control, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay connected infotainment screen, Bose speakers, wireless charging, and much more.
Powertrain
There will be no change in the engine options for the new i20. The current model is offered only with a BS6 compliant 1.2-liter petrol engine capable of producing 81.8 BHP and 113 Nm of Torque.
However, there’s possibility that the automaker might add other engine options, including a 1.0-liter turbo and 1.5-liter diesel engine.
