RedMagic 5G: First Smartphone With 144Hz Display Available At $579
Parameters to be considered a flagship smartphone have changed a lot from last year. Apart from bundling a top-class camera and SoC, the flagship smartphone should also come with a high-refresh-rate display.
Nubia has now made its latest flagship RedMagic 5G available for global pre-orders starting today. RedMagic 5G is the first smartphone with a 144-Hz screen. It is also one of the cheapest smartphone Snapdragon 865 phones.

Nubia RedMagic 5G comes with a 6.65-inch 1080p OLED screen and has tiny bezels up top and bottom. The gaming phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor along with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB internal storage. It runs the latest Android 10 and has a 4500mAh battery with 55W fast charge support.
RedMagic 5G comes with gaming functionalities better than a number of gaming smartphones. Along with liquid cooling technology, the smartphone comes equipped with a turbofan to avoid excessive overheating.
However, as The Verge notes, the fan is quite noisy, but users can switch it off. The smartphone sports two-built-in shoulder trigger buttons for a better gaming experience.
RedMagic 5G features a triple rear camera set-up, including a 64-megapixel primary lens. The 8GB RAM, along with 128GB internal storage, will be available at $579, and the 12GB RAM variant along with 256GB RAM will be available at $649. The phone will start selling globally on April 21st.
