Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro Is A Removable-Battery Smartphone For $499
Remember those days when you could easily replace the battery on your phone? Well, Samsung has decided to bring back that fantastic feature with its new rugged Galaxy XCover Pro, costing just $499.
The XCover Pro is so much more than any other Samsung Galaxy Smartphone. It is specifically designed keeping in mind the needs of industrial workers. How so? Well, it comes with a removable 4050mAh battery. So, you can easily swap the discharged battery in the phone with a fresh one. This way, the smartphone can be used for a longer time, which is really convenient, especially for workers.
Another astounding thing about the Galaxy XCover Pro is that the 6.3-inch 1080p display on the phone can be used with wet hands while having gloves on. Moreover, with IP68 Dust and water-resistant rating, the phone can handle extreme environmental conditions without taking any damage at all.
Samsung’s Galaxy XCover Pro Specifications
The device features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with a 2GHz octa-core Exynos 9611 processor. It will run the latest Android 10 and Samsung’s One UI 2.0 which is a good thing.
As of camera, the smartphone packs a 13-megapixel front-facing camera and a dual rear camera that includes a 25-megapixel and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens.
The phone comes with two programmable buttons, one on the side and one on top. You can use these buttons to access push-to-talk applications, including Microsoft Teams’ which has recently received a Walkie-talkie feature similar to what you get in an Apple Watch.
Also, Samsung says that VISA approved the phone with the EMV Level 1 certification. This further means that you can receive payments from your customers when they tap their NFC equipped credit cards or phones on your XCover Pro.
Samsung’s Galaxy XCover Pro will be out for the US market in the first half of 2020. And even though this removable battery smartphone is designed for industrial workers, it will still be available for anyone to buy.
