Microsoft Surface Earbuds Are Here To Compete With Apple AirPods
As part of its 2019 hardware event, Microsoft has announced its first true wireless earphone, which it calls the Microsoft Surface Earbuds.
The new wireless earphones have arrived alongside the Surface 3, the Surface Pro 7, the Surface Pro X dual-screen laptop, the Surface Neo, and the Surface Duo foldable devices.
Microsoft Surface Earbuds
The company has added the Surface Earbuds to its range of existing audio accessories including Surface Headphones. The touch-enabled Surface Earbuds come with a one-click pairing feature that will allow users to pair it with devices with just a single tap on it.
It is voice-enabled as well with Omnisound and mics in each earbud. It comes with a charging case and is claimed to have a battery life of around 24 hours.
There’s also Spotify integration, which will let users listen to music via Spotify with a simple touch. There won’t be a need to refer to the Spotify app again and again and actions such as pause, play, go back to the previous song, or the next song can be performed easily from Surface Earbuds itself.
The new Microsoft wireless earphones come with support for live captions. This means that the wireless pair will be able to provide captions, dictation, and even translation by working with Office 365.
Additionally, the Surface Earbuds support IPX4 waterproof resistance and are compatible with Windows, Android, and iOS.
