OnePlus 7 Pro Reportedly Shutting Down On Its Own, Pisses Off Users
While the latest OnePlus 7 Pro flagship is a promising smartphone by OnePlus, it hasn’t been devoid of problems such as Ghost Touch issues and camera issues to name a few. It now appears the device could be facing another issue, as few users have reported that their respective OnePlus 7 Pros are shutting down on their own.
According to the OnePlus Forum, several users have reported a sudden shutdown problem being faced by them. A specific thread has been created on the forum.
It is suggested that many OnePlus 7 Pro smartphones are going off without any prior hint. If you think you can simply switch it on? That’s not how it will happen. In order to bring the device back to life, users are required to boot the device by long-pressing the volume up button and the power on/off button simultaneously.
Although a simple hack can help to switch the device on, the problem should be considered by the company as some users (if not many) are facing it. According to a developer named pappschlump, an issue is causing the kernel on these devices to crash which leads to the unexpected shutdown.
In a statement to Android Police, OnePlus has acknowledged the issue and has suggested that it is working on the problem to solve it by providing a future software update for the OnePlus 7 Pro smartphones.
However, there is no word on when exactly the update will be available for the OnePlus 7 Pro users.
We hope the company releases an update real soon to solve the problem.
For those who don’t know, OnePlus recently received negative publicity when the OnePlus One recently caught fire when it wasn’t even connected to a charger and switched off.
