Huawei P30 Series Launched With Improved Camera Features
Putting all the rumors and leaks we have seen so far to rest, Huawei has finally made its flagship P30 series (comprising the P30 Pro and the P30) official at an event in Paris.
Both smartphones come with their respective camera departments as their highlights, touted to be World’s first 40MP camera smartphones.
Huawei P30 Pro
The main highlight is the rear cameras, which are five in number. At the back, there are four: a 40MP Wide angle lens; a 20MP Ultra wide-angle lens; an 8MP 5X Telephoto lens; a 3D TOF Depth-sensing camera.
The cameras support AI-based features (AI HDR+), Portrait mode with Pro Bokeh, OIS, AIS and SuperZoom lens tech (up to 50X), along with Long Range and Low Light Photography.
The front camera stands at 32MP with AI HDR+ and provides support for low-light videography using SuperSensing technology.
Additionally, there is support for Dual-view video to simultaneously record wide-angle and close-up videos, much like Nokia’s Bothie (except it had the front and rear cameras work together).
The elder sibling to the P30, the P30 Pro, comes with a bigger 6.47-inch Full HD+ Curved OLED display with an ultra notch, for a minimal bezel experience.
It comes in three RAM/ROM options: 8GB/128, 8GB/256GB, and 8GB/512GB.
Powered by a Kirin 980 processor, the P30 Pro has a 4,200mAh battery with fast charging tech and Wireless Quick charging, along with reverse wireless charging. It runs Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.0 on top.
Another highlight is the Acoustic display technology which drops the need of a speaker and turns the display into a speaker.
The P30 Pro has support for an in-display fingerprint scanner, which acts as one of its highlights.
Additionally, the smartphone comes with IP68 certification, Gesture Navigation, and AI assistant.
The Huawei P30 Pro is priced at Euros 999 (8GB/128GB), Euros 1,099 (8GB/256GB), and Euros 1,249 (8GB/512GB) and is now up for grabs.

The smartphone comes with an ultra notched display rated at 6.1-inch and ensures really thin bezels. The display is Full HD+ OLED in nature. With a 3D Culture design, the P30 is powered by an octa-core Kirin 980 processor.
The Huawei P30 is backed by a 3,650mAh battery and runs EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie. It comes in a single 6GB RAM/128GB ROM option.
Furthermore, the P30 has an in-display fingerprint sensor, Acoustic display tech, IP53 certification, Gesture Navigation, and AI assistant.
