Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Launched With Snapdragon 855, Up To 12GB RAM
Xiaomi has introduced the second iteration of its gaming smartphone, dubbed the Black Shark 2 in China.
The smartphone comes with improvements over its predecessor; an upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and a 6.39-inch AMOLED Trueview display with an aspect ratio rated at 19:9.
The display has been enhanced for better screen response, improved color accuracy and low latency.
The camera department has improved with the presence of two rear snappers (48MP and 12MP) with LED flash and 6p lens. The front camera stands at 20MP.
The cameras come with support for AI-based camera features.
The gaming smartphone is home to various features such as Magic Press Stereo Control, which can sense the pressure on the display and accordingly allow for a 3D touch. It can also map the pressure buttons on the display and the touch range can be customized.
Another highlight is the presence of an in-display fingerprint scanner and the Liquid Cooling 3.0 tech to avoid heating issues.
Additionally, the device sports an X-shaped antenna design and Unicom game acceleration network channel for the reduction of game delay.
The gaming smartphone gets its fuel from a 4,000mAh battery 27W fast charging.
The Black Shark 2 comes in four RAM/ROM variants: 6GB/128GB (CNY 3,199), 8GB/128GB (CNY 3,499), 8GB/256GB (CNY 3,799), and a massive 12GB/256GB (CNY 4,199).
The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 is up for pre-orders and will be available to buy, starting March 21 in China.
However, there is no word on its availability in other markets.
