Windows 10 Now Runs On 700 Million Devices
Microsoft has continued the ritual of announcing Windows 10 numbers at the Build 2018 developer conference. This year isn’t any different, and the company has managed to add another 100 million active devices.
Now, over 700 million devices are running Windows 10. That’s a 200 million increase since the numbers announced at the previous Build conference.
Windows 10 reached 600 million devices in November last year. Still, Microsoft is 300 million devices away from the overly optimistic goal of 1 billion devices by 2018 they had when Windows 10 was launched.
The cloud-focused company also revealed the numbers for Office 365 that’s helping them earn more money than ever.
The number of active commercial customers has jumped from 120 million in October last year to 130 million, with a 30% year-over-year growth. Redmond also has their stakes on the more recent Microsoft 365 subscription for which the statistics are yet to be told.
