Xiaomi’s Double-Folding Smartphone Teased In A Video By Company CEO
A couple of days back, Xiaomi was rumored to get onto the foldable smartphone bandwagon and present one to the world. Taking this forward, the company has officially teased the foldable device, hinting at a launch that might take place pretty soon.
In a video posted on Twitter, the company’s CEO Lin Bin is seen using the device which comes with the previously-rumored three-panel, for two folds. The device will be the world’s first two-fold screen smartphone.

The video suggests that the foldable device will come with one big display with an aspect ratio rated at 18:9, and when folded, resembles the Samsung Galaxy S series.
The post further suggests that the launch of the Xiaomi foldable smartphone is imminent after several technical hindrances like flexible folding screen technology, four-wheel drive folding shaft technology, flexible cover technology, and MIUI adaptation.
Xiaomi, via the post, asked for people’s suggestions and comments on the device. The company will commence with the mass production of the device if it receives positive feedback.
Additionally, the company asked for name suggestions and hints at the possible name for the device, being Xiaomi Dual Flex or Xiaomi MIX Flex.
However, there is no word on the technical specs or any other features of the smartphone.
With various tech companies that have launched (or rumored to launch) foldable smartphones, one from Xiaomi could be of no harm and rather turn out to be a decent one.
As information on the availability is not known, we hope it arrives soon. So stay tuned to this space for more information.
