Vijay’s Varisu, which debuted in theaters on January 11, is Kollywood’s biggest hit to date. According to the makers, the Vamshi Paidipally-directed film grossed 300 crores in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi and is currently preparing for its OTT debut.

The film follows Vijay Rajendran, who is left in charge of his family’s business after his father gets terminally ill. The film is a wonderful feast for Vijay lovers since it also features references from films like ‘Thuppakki,’ ‘Bigil’ and ‘Master.’ It’s another of Vijay’s action thrillers made just to satisfy his massive audience, and it’s a good family drama to watch on the weekend.
The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Jayasudha, Prakash Raj, Sarath Kumar, and SJ Suryah, among others, in lead roles. Thaman composed the music for the film, and Jani and Shobi choreographed the dance sequences. Cinematography and editing were handled by Karthik Palani and Praveen KL, respectively.
When did Varisu release online?
Varisu will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting February 22, 2023, at 12.00 a.m. IST/ 1.30 a.m. ET/ 10.30 p.m. PT in four languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
