Following the news of POCO becoming an independent brand, there is a new leak suggesting that POCO will launch three variants of POCO F2.
One of them will be called POCO F2 Lite, YouTuber RevAtlas said in a video. A few days ago, the tech YouTuber received an anonymous email about the existence of POCO F2, along with three pictures.
In the mail, the person writes that Xiaomi will launch three POCOPHONE this year. The Lite version will run on Snapdragon 765G along with 6GB of RAM. Other than that, it will have a whopping 5,000mAh battery and a “High-Resolution” camera.
Before we move ahead, there is no way to prove the information, so we suggest that you take this information with a grain of salt.
A few days ago, there was a Geekbench listing of a Xiaomi device named “POCO X2”. Therefore, the existence of three POCOPHONE variants might be real, after all.
The anonymous source also writes that the launch is scheduled for 2020. There is no denying this, given Xiaomi just announced the POCO as a subbrand. Moreover, there are too many leaks to say otherwise.
However, coming to POCO F2 Lite, there appears to be a discrepancy between the known information and the specs and images attached in the mail.
Firstly, there is no way a lite version should have Snapdragon 756G, considering the same chipset is present in the Redmi K30 5G model. Secondly, he writes that the device would be cheaper, which makes it even more unreasonable to add a high-end chipset.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that the POCO phone will be nothing but a rebranding of Redmi K30 for India. Like any leaks and rumors, we all have to wait until the truth comes out.
