After Amazon, Spotify Offers Three Month Free Trial Period Till 30 June
To tackle competition amongst the best music streaming apps, Spotify has come up with two mind-blowing deals for musicophiles.
Spotify will offer a three-month free trial to all new users who join the platform before June 30, 2020.
Secondly, Spotify premium users who canceled their plan before April 14, 2019, are eligible for three months of Spotify Premium membership at $9.99, which makes the monthly subscription cost as low as $3.0.
As mentioned by The Verge, Spotify increased the free trial period because the company has witnessed a significant decline in the number of subscriptions recently. Amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, a lot of people didn’t renew their subscription due to limited funds.
In the latest earning stats of Spotify, ad-supported revenues have dropped majorly, which is a matter of worry for the music streaming platform. Spotify expects these new offers will help the platform retain its lost audience and attract new users at the same time.
Other music streaming apps like Apple Music and Amazon Music Unlimited have also adopted the same strategy.
However, Spotify is likely to attract more users, thanks to its lower-priced plans compared to other music streaming apps. On top of that, Spotify’s three-month free trial period also applies to its Student and Family plan as well.
