Apple Forces OnePus To Take A Bow: OnePlus 6T Release Date Rescheduled
No one messes with Apple’s product release events and OnePlus is surely aware of it. Following the Apple announcement of releasing next-generation iPad and Mac on October 30th, OnePlus has re-scheduled the release of OnePlus 6T on October 29th.
Both the events were going to happen on the same day, in New York. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, confirmed in a OnePlus Forum post that the company will now hold the big event on a day earlier, however at the same location and time – October 29, at 11 AM EDT.
“If we chose to stick to our original timeline, launching the OnePlus 6T on October 30, we would be overshadowed by Apple,” Pete said in the blog post.
All the OnePlus 6T event invites are already sold out, and it is believed that more than 1000 people are attending the event. In other words, at least a thousand people will have to re-schedule their whole journey which includes flight tickets, hotel bookings, etc.
OnePlus CEO states that the company is reaching out all the attendees to make them aware of the re-scheduling. The company is also making great efforts in helping out making changes in their commuting plans.
“We will cover any costs you might incur to change your plans. If you need to pay to move your flight, we’ve got your back. Same goes for those of you who booked a hotel or made other arrangements,” said Pete.
As goes as the device goes, OnePlus 6T is the company’s first one to carry in-display fingerprint sensor and a teardrop notch. Reportedly, the price is also varied a little bit compared to its predecessors one – The OnePlus 6.
