Nothing’s entry into the smartphone space has been a huge success, thanks to the company’s focus on design and software experience. Keeping up with this trend, the company recently introduced its budget-friendly sub-brand, CMF. Now, after the success of the CMF earphones and smartwatches, Nothing is gearing up to launch the CMF Phone 1. Here is everything you need to know about it.

Design of the CMF Phone 1

At the time of writing, Nothing hasn’t revealed many details regarding the CMF Phone 1, but a few rumors are circulating. Firstly, the company released a teaser for the Phone 1, showcasing the design. And if you have seen the renders, you might notice something new: a round dial. Typically, phones do not include a dial, so it’s hard to guess what exactly it will do. However, rumors suggest that it could be a physical volume dial. Alternatively, it could also be a lanyard, similar to the CMF Buds.

Furthermore, the back will feature a vegan leather finish in the signature orange color, similar to the CMF Buds, making it instantly recognizable. However, we also expect the phone to come in subtler color variants.

Considering we are still far from the launch, there are a lot of conflicting rumors surrounding the specs of the CMF Phone 1. However, most sources suggest the phone will come with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, the successor to the popular Dimensity 7050 chip. The processor builds on its predecessor by including four Arm Cortex-A78 performance cores and four Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores while drawing 25% less power thanks to the new 4nm fabrication process.

Additionally, the device will include at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Moreover, it is rumored to have a dual-camera setup and might support 33W fast charging.

How much will the CMF Phone 1 cost?

Based on the specs, the CMF Phone 1 will be a budget-centric device, likely in the sub-15K INR segment. We can also expect the company to launch the device in July.
